Wacoal and Chika Kisada Turn Ballet Codes Into Everyday Layers

· Tokyo Street Style · 1 min di lettura

Wacoal Premium and Chika Kisada’s first collaboration pairs layered tulle and ballet references with considered lingerie construction and outerwear.

Wacoal Premium and Chika Kisada bring two kinds of expertise to their first collaboration: the designer’s ballet-informed, punk-tinged aesthetic and Wacoal’s experience in lingerie construction. The result is a six-piece collection that treats intimate layers as part of the outfit, with tulle, velvet and powernet balanced against comfort and fit.

Tulle designed to be seen

A light-easy bra layers detachable volume in tulle over lace and velvet. Other pieces include bras, briefs, a T-back, a bustier and an outer layer gathered from Chika Kisada’s signature tulle. Crossed front details reference ballet shoe ribbons, while the outerwear’s double construction considers how seams appear through sheer fabric.

The collaboration is designed for more than one way of wearing. Pieces can sit beneath an open-back dress or T-shirt, or be layered visibly over a top. Wacoal says the collection was developed with a broad fit range and home washing in mind.

Release dates

Online sales began October 15, 2026, through Wacoal’s official store; the collection is scheduled to reach participating retailers on October 22. Select bras are offered in C–F cups with 65, 70 and 75 cm bands; other pieces have their own size ranges. Check Wacoal’s product listings for current availability and sizing before purchase.

The strongest idea here is the balance: delicate transparency with thoughtful construction, and ballet’s softness set against a more assured, everyday styling attitude.
